Jose Rodriguez was born in Venezuela and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of 10. After marrying his wife, Heidi, they spent four years in Wisconsin before returning home to South Florida.

For the past 11 years, Jose has served in pastoral ministry in a variety of roles, including youth, family, Spanish-language, and associate pastor ministry. He currently serves as Associate Pastor at Gospel City Church.

Jose holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master in Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute.

Jose and Heidi have been married for 12 years and are foster parents themselves. They have a son, Samuel, whom they adopted through foster care, and they are currently fostering another child in their home. Their experience welcoming children into their family has given them a firsthand understanding of both the joys and challenges of foster care—and ultimately inspired them to start FosterJoy.

Through FosterJoy, Jose hopes to help children in foster care know that they are seen, valued, and worth celebrating, while encouraging the local community to come alongside foster families in meaningful ways.

Outside of ministry and FosterJoy, Jose enjoys playing golf and spending time with Heidi, their family, and their dog.
